Interior Design Director

Design Director : Commercial Interiors
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Salary Details: 40,000 - 50,000 AED per month

My Client is a highly regarded Dubai based British Interior Design company.
They have been active in the UAE for over 10 years and have worked on commercial interior design projects for some of the biggest names in the region as well as many well known international companies wishing to establish a presence in the Middle East.
They offer creative, professional and cost effective interior design and solutions to their enviable list of satisfied clients.
Due to expansion throughout the region, my client is now seeking an experienced Design Director to manage a steadily growing team in the Dubai studio.
Your Responsibilities will be as follows:
Overseeing and heading‐up the interior design consultancy division and leading projects and respective design teams from initial concept through to project completion
Developing client focused innovative, world class, functional design solutions
Overseeing and monitoring all design resources effectively
Supporting and representing concerns of design managers and designers
Working with the senior management team on areas relating to performance and the growth of the business
Assuming ownership for projects and client relationships
Ensuring a collaborative approach to successful project delivery
Overseeing the full design process
Overseeing timelines and allocation of billable time and resources
Developing positive and proactive relationships clients and industry partners
Liaising with the clients on a regular basis to build and maintain relationships
Thinking world class when meeting external consultants and suppliers
Ensuring design meets international and locally required standards
Ensuring continued design coordination during the on‐site phase to completion of the project
The Ideal Candidate / Desired Skills:
A management level Interior Design professional with extensive experience in office / commercial projects
A creative hands-on problem solver used to managing teams of designers, architectural technicians and M.E.P staff.
A highly personable and confident team player who is able to build and develop good business and personal relationships at all levels.
Experience in the Middle East market would be great but is not as important as your design skills, project history and management experience so please do not see your location as a barrier for applying for this role.
A great salary package is on offer for the right person consisting of 40,000 – 50,000 AED per month plus bonuses.
