Full-time Transport Manager

Transport Manager - Attractive Package, Dubai. Our client, a multinational company with extensive operations in the UAE, is seeking a Transport Manager to be responsible for managing the Fuels Supply Chain Department. Reporting to the Operations Controller, the Transport Manager will contribute to contractual negotiations for both inbound and outbound transports, prepare and execute orders for transporters, review contractor payments and pricing, and develop transportation cost models. You will also be expected to prepare loading plans and manage the process via clear communication with all refineries, visit locations to inspect operations and ensure that the agreed upon procedures are in place, and identify potential trouble. Further duties will include managing all fuel inventory at loading, in transit and at discharge, provide detailed analyses of transportation budgets, and develop and implement the transport contractor performance system / KPIs. To be considered for the role, you must have a degree in a relevant subject and more than 5 years experience in transportation and logistics. You should have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, strong leadership and analytical abilities. Experience of working in Pakistan and Afghanistan is highly beneficial, as would be fluency or understanding of the Pashto or Dari languages. You must be available for travel when required.
