BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. Our client is recognized by its customers as a superior supply chain management partner. Our client employs more than 50,000 people with an extensive global network comprising more than 1,000 locations, with 8.6 million square meters in over 100 countries. A growing demand in the region has opened a couple of positions in the Sales and Marketing Department. The position is located in their Jebel Ali facility. Key Roles: Undertake cross-selling and up selling within the existing customer base to further develop account potential through airfreight, sea freight, road freight and value-added products and contract logistics. Develop SOPs for strategic accounts. Define and follow up KPIs for strategic accounts. Research, establish, build and maintain relationships with prospects and customers. Responsible for freight negotiations, customer service and monitoring market competition. Manage and coordinate all commercial activities of defined vertical groups of customers. Make sales presentations to new business customers at corporate level. He will report to the Regional Sales Manager - ME and will be responsible for day-to-day sales and marketing activities in order to achieve and exceed budgeted targets in the assigned territory in Dubai. This is a sales target driven position, requiring maximum conversion of quotation into orders, therefore, strong negotiation and closing capabilities will be considered essential qualities. Candidate must have held a position heading business development within the services industry / freight industry in the Middle East region and have a proven track record as a successful manager. Candidate with an MBA and a valid UAE driving license preferred.
