CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - This is an ideal opportunity for a top notch management professional who possesses the experience and ambition to take on the challenges of managing a diversified group of companies in the GCC. The Group which is based in the GCC has a large portfolio of businesses from food products and electronics to construction, real estate and industrial products. They have a large workforce that is employed within their successful businesses. In order to implement the strategic goals of the management, the Group is looking for a leader who would assume management and profit centre responsibility across the organization and give direction towards these objectives. The Person: A CEO / Managing Director of a reputed business group who is operating at a senior management level and who has demonstrable track record of successes in managing a similar business. The person should have excellent management and financial / commercial experience in a highly developed commercial and retail environment. Additional experience in investments and the real estate industry would be an added advantage. A management graduate with additional qualifications in finance and minimum ten years experience in a similar role would be suitable. An Arabic / English speaker would add value to the position. Most importantly, the person should have excellent leadership qualities, be financially astute and business / performance focused The Responsibilities: • Build a long term strategy for the Group keeping in mind the management objectives. • Review the current performance of businesses and draw up a strategy for the plans, targets and performances of the businesses within the Group. • Oversee all operational aspects of the business and suggest improvements. • Ensure a best practices approach to retailing to ensure a viable and profitable business. • Conduct periodical reviews to ensure and evaluate the business. • Ensure appropriate policies towards risk management. • Assume full responsibility for sales, personnel and operations costs and financial goals. • Comply with local, legal and financial regulations. • Supervise the Group’s manpower plan. • Build and maintain a strong corporate identity of the Group.
