Financial Controller - AED 36,500 / Abu Dhabi. This is a great opportunity to join an organisation which is revamping its operations in the UAE. Our client is a European company and they are seeking people with experience in the industrial or technology sectors. The position will report to the Group Controller based in the European headquarters and the country GM and will have an important role to play in the senior management team. A principal focus of the role will be financial and regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. You will prepare monthly project statements and forecasts, take responsibility for cash flow forecasts and conduct analysis of the company?s financial results. You will provide leadership to the accounting team and will be expected to help them develop in their processes and standards. The role requires the ability to work closely with business heads and provide them with meaningful financial advice to help the company meet its strategic and business targets. To be considered for this challenging new role, you should be educated to degree level in accounting or finance and have a minimum of 5 years progressive finance experience. Ideally you will have worked within a multi-national environment and should have strong controller experience. You must have knowledge of both IFRS and local statutory reporting. Experience with SAP would be well-regarded. Our client has expressed a preference for Arabic-speaking candidates but equally, you will need to have excellent communication skills in English.
