MANAGER, MARKET RESEARCH. The Organization - Our client is a global leader in the FMCG industry focused primarily on the active health sector. The Person - The position requires a high-impact personality educated to degree level or above, in Marketing or Market Research, Cognitive Science, Human Computer Interaction or related fields. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual with 3 years of proven experience in the function of market research demonstrating excellent comprehension of the research gathering techniques, he or she will have the passion and ability to turn research insights into workable recommendations for the organization. The candidate shall possess a strong ability to communicate effectively and succinctly to a diverse audience in a variety of formats including oral, written and presentational. Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, he or she must have effective problem-solving skills, a long-term vision, and be able to work on different projects simultaneously. In addition, the candidate will have the flexibility to adjust to the rapidly changing priorities and customer needs, and sound business judgment to drive their team to accurate results. In addition, they shall possess an innate curiosity to see beyond the obvious and constantly probe for alternatives. Either with agency or client side experience - but an understanding of research agencies is essential. Role Specification - The candidate shall ensure the research excellence of projects across a portfolio of brands. He or she will be a contributor that provides guidance, tutoring and support to a team in performing research and analysis of the company's markets and its customers. Research and make presentations on market data, retail audits, economic and demographic market trends, etc. Manage and deliver research projects from initiation to completion by analyzing customer needs, perceptions and behavior through a combination of proprietary and syndicated customer research studies. He will participate and guide the qualitative research, including usability testing, in-depth interviews, focus groups and eye-tracking studies. Also, occasional quantitative research including proposals, questionnaires, fieldwork, etc., will be part of the role. Perform statistical analysis and modeling of customer research results. Working alongside the brand management teams, support vendors in conducting research. Contribute to the analysis of the market environment & future trends; make recommendations based on findings that achieve both project and commercial objectives. Publish regular updates on the market environment to track company progress for the senior management as well as manage ongoing studies providing monthly reports and insightful summaries.
