URBAN DESIGNER - SAR 25,000 Plus Accommodation & Transport. Jeddah. With business interests including retail, telecommunications, real estate and hospitality, this diversified conglomerate is considered a true leader and pioneer within the Saudi Arabian marketplace. An accomplished Urban Designer is required to take up a key position within the business. Working for the client, you will have responsibility for delivering a number of street renovation projects.You will plan the layout of the project, prepare contract documents and drawings and conduct onsite observation of work during construction.You will also represent the client in obtaining bids and awarding contracts. To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate a track record in the design and management of similar projects, taking into account the infrastructure and surrounding services, including: sidewalks and pedestrian traffic, street parking and furniture, kiosks and restaurants. To be considered, you should have a minimum of eight years experience in urban design, planning and project management of major street projects in urban areas. Degree in architecture and urban planning is a minimum. In addition, you must be proficient in software programs including AutoCAD. On occasion, you may be required to travel within Saudi Arabia. This position is an immediate vacancy and requires strong interpersonal skills coupled with a progressive and dynamic approach. Our client will travel to Dubai for initial interviews during the first week of April.
