Pivot Engineering & General Contracting Company is a fast-growing construction company in the UAE, undertaking large residential and commercial projects including towers in the UAE. The company has ambitious plans to meet the growing needs of the UAE real estate market. Pivot Engineering is on a high growth path and has a prestigious portfolio of more than 10 projects under construction, with a more-than-6,000 workforce. The company is now looking for dynamic professionals to join their core team. PROCUREMENT ENGINEER - B.Sc. / B.E. in Civil Engineering, with minimum 5-10 years experience as a Procurement Engineer in building construction, with at least 2-3 years experience in the UAE. He should have the knowledge to evaluate subcontractor quotations out of the approved list and recommend the best offer matching the specifications, within the budget, programme of works, etc. Responsibilities include: negotiating prices for different packages and preparing comparison sheets and RFAs for approval; preparing Letters of Intent, subcontract agreements and variations; following up subcontractor variations; analyzing the cost effect for alternative proposals and preparing suitable alternative material submittals.
