Buyer - Dubai. Our client, a leading pump and valve company, is looking for an Associate Buyer for their Dubai office. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing, contract negotiation and material planning. You should have a Degree in either Materials Management or Business Administration and be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and an ERP, preferably Oracle. You should be highly organised with good communication skills. Candidates that are Arabic speakers will be given preference. Must be able to work independently but also deal with Applications Engineers, manufacturing, quality and accounting associates. Responsibilities will include placing of orders, agreeing dates, pricing quantities, managing lead times, placing the correct purchase orders and liaising with the manufacturing team. You will be required to manage the business system parameters such as lead times and pricing to ensure the orders reach the clients on time. You will also need to perform process reviews and recommend improvements in support of overall Lean Manufacturing initiatives. This position offers an attractive salary and benefits.
