O3b Networks is a newly formed global Satellite Operator with backing from Google, HSBC & Liberty Global. O3b is scheduled to launch a global constellation of satellites in December 2010. The successful applicant will be a key contributor to the regional marketing plan. The candidate will take full responsibility for the planning, management of resources and timely execution of the regional marketing plan. The successful applicant will have strong work experience in liaising and building relationships with a range of stakeholders, e.g. customers, suppliers and colleagues. You will have experience in developing advertising opportunities, which involve placing adverts in national, regional and specialist publications and therefore maintaining and building contacts with the media. You will be a creative writer and able to write, prepare and distribute press releases along with managing the production of marketing materials, including white papers and product descriptions, before distributing effectively and according to an agreed plan. You will be IT savvy with practical experience in managing, maintaining and updating a marketing database. You will be able to organize and attend events and exhibitions and be willing to travel periodically across the Africa & Middle East region. With 3 to 10 years of marketing experience, the successful candidate will ideally possess a recognized Degree in Marketing.
