MECHANICAL ENGINEER

MECHANICAL ENGINEER - Up to AED 58,000/-, Abu Dhabi. This is a great opportunity to join a company that is going from strength to strength. Based in the Abu Dhabi head office, you will be involved in a number of exciting new projects and will have a real chance to participate in the development of the company's manufacturing facilities. The role reports to and works very closely with the Project Manager and forms part of a good and growing project management team.
Your principal focus will be a variety of new manufacturing plants and factories, helping to ensure that the projects are managed effectively. There will be managerial and operational elements to your role. You will represent the company in all mechanical systems matters, assisting the design consultants by providing all the required information and then monitoring the progress. You will also work with contractors to ensure that their work conforms to the provisions of the contract documents. Liaison with local authorities will form part of your remit and you will ensure that all relevant site tests are conducted appropriately.
To be considered for this position, you will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from a well-respected university and a minimum of 10 years experience in the construction of steel structure factories and production facilities. You should have an understanding of the construction industry from both local and international perspectives, and must have excellent planning skills. You will be familiar with the practices and procedures of international codes and standards.
