Job Summary:
- To ensure the effective technical coordination between Operations Divisions and Engineering & Projects Division through the promotion of consistency of Drilling and Rig Equipment standards and procurement specifications.
- To review new technological development in the drilling industry and evaluate the feasibility of implementing such developments in both offshore and onshore operations.
- To keep abreast of new developments, conducting studies, assessing various drilling technologies, recommending implementation of such new equipment & technology developments.
- To coordinate technical aspects between Engineering & Projects, Operations and Commercial Divisions and assist on special tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum Engineering.
- 10 years experience in Drilling Industry out of which 3 years field work experience at rig site (Offshore and Onshore), 2 years experience in office of Drilling Contractor for specifying and evaluation of complete rig specifications.
- Good knowledge of various technical & quality standards on rig equipment and their appropriate application on Drilling Industry.
- Good knowledge of various brands of the Rig and Drilling Equipment, Sizing of the Rig and Drilling Technology.
- Good Knowledge of Computer software skills. Particularly Excel, Power Point, Project, Word, AutoCAD and Acrobat.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
