Full-time Marketing Director

at SOS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANTS in GCC

  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to achieve Company’s sales budgets, revenues, for both own brand stores and third party channel operators
  • Develop and present the brand, customer and marketing strategies and activities to the CEO and, where necessary, Board of Directors for review with associated direction setting and implement through the marketing plan
  • Manage and develop the brand concept through all aspects of the marketing mix to achieve AnotaH’s business and strategy objectives
  • Determine the most appropriate marketing mix and channels to reach the target audience
  • Analyse and understand specific AnotaH customer segments and use knowledge to develop and implement marketing initiatives
  • Develop and implement the annual marketing plan using, for example, advertising, media plans and local marketing programs.
  • Monitor competitive activity and develop the appropriate tactics to respond to varied threats or opportunities.
  • Lead the marketing team and to develop skills and capabilities to meet individual objectives
  • Manage the marketing team according to time and budget schedules
  • Provide senior management informed of problems and opportunities relating to the customer, brand and marketing operational plan
  • As a member of the senior management team, take a leadership role beyond marketing to assist the company achieve goals, i.e. recruiting, leading cross-functional teams for company initiatives, etc.
  • Partner with Trading and design to fully understand seasonal initiatives and translate them into retail marketing initiatives that drive sell through.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, imaging, customer communication and merchandising inside and outside the store
  • Manage and direct the development and operation of the AnotaH B2B and B2C web sites. Ensure the site is consistent with the brand position and own brand stores.
  • Manage an externally appointed marketing agency to effectively promote the AnotaH brand in the designated marketplace and to manage the relationship between the two companies
  • Ensure customer service standards are developed to meet brand and customer objectives across all channels. Work with Retail Operations to ensure they are implemented.
  • Manage the ongoing development of the store environment in relation to new or improved current stores
  • Work with Business Development by providing knowledge and understanding of local markets to decide viability of new markets for expansion, both inside and outside the Middle East.
  • Achieve and exceed all assigned monthly KPIs
  • College degree in a marketing related field, MBA is a plus but not required
  • 8-10 years marketing experience, with a background in fashion brands
  • Marketing management experience with a retail organisation, preferably within the fashion garment sector
  • Developed and managed marketing activities across different channels, such as catalogues, franchises, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience with complex integrated marketing campaigns, including setting up measurement criteria and ROI.
  • Demonstrated experience with external corporate communication.
  • Experience with collateral, electronic media, direct mail, tradeshows, seminars, advertising and media.
  • Strong marketing technology background.
  • Ability to effectively interact with many different groups and levels of people, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • PC skills
  • Strategic thinker with strong planning, priority setting and timeline management skills
  • Enjoys and understands the creative process and comfortable translating strategic goals into creative solutions
  • Enjoys managing a team and mentoring/developing team members
  • Accepts personal and team accountability and drives towards these goals
  • A born collaborator, understands that success comes with working supportively with others
  • Clear presentation and communication skills
  • A self starter
