Site Accountant, Abu Dhabi

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant for our Site Office in Abu Dhabi.
To be considered for this role you will be a strong all rounder who is degree educated and has previous experience working within the Construction/Contracting industry.
Responsibilities
•Using IFRS to communicate with the business regarding accounting standards for investments and acquisitions.
•Providing financial expertise, advising Management in order to facilitate effective business planning and implement finance and accounting policies, procedures and systems effectively in the company.
•Implementing new standards and policies on existing flows and recommending on new ones in addition to involvement on special projects.
•Responsible for accounting policies and procedures, including knowledge sharing and training.
•Preparing consolidation accounts liaising with subsidiary companies and preparing accounting information.
•Regulatory reporting IFRS regulatory returns.
•Ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements, compliance with regulatory reporting and the management of the expense base.
•Provision of daily,monthly & quarterly management reporting and analysis from the general ledger/data warehouses, the full Planning & Forecasting function (including scenario modelling, budgeting and forecasting)
•Providing technical accounting advice and detailed financial models for Assisting in the annual budgeting process
Competences:
•Accounting degree preferably certified Accountant (CPA, Chartered Accountant) with at least 3-4 years of experience in project accounting, construction and construction accounting, budgeting and financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
•Strong IFRS experience for construction projects and corporate finance particularly budgeting and forecasting
•Experience in developing and improving procedures and controls
•Strong communications both written and verbal in English
•Strong knowledge of MS Office applications with the ability to produce Powerpoint presentations and spreadsheets
•The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
