We are European Interior Design organization seeking to employ a Procurement Officer – Planning and organizing the entire procurement process involving purchasing of goods, materials, equipment and services from manufacturers, contractors and suppliers.
• Analyze the purchase request from the estimating and Design Departments and determine the appropriate method of procurement, quotation, tender and request for proposal.
• Sourcing materials from local and overseas markets
• negotiate rates with local and also international suppliers improve operations and reduce cost
• Analyze data, make cost comparisons , pricing and supplier/ subcontracting prequalification process.
•plan delivery timetables ; track the movement of goods while in transit
• Oversee the ordering process , prepare purchase requisition and purchase orders
• monitor performance and ensure targets are met
• monitor and improve the supplier and subcontractor network chain
• work closely with Design, Estimating and accounts to ensure goods a material are sourced in accordance with specification
•apply value engineering to source alternative materials from original specification
• correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
• produce procurement tracking reports together with monthly procurement status reports
• ensure all company procurement terms and conditions are developed and adhered check approve all deliveries are in strict accordance to the purchase orders.
