The American Institutes for Research (AIR) is actively recruiting experts who can provide as long and short term consultanting as math and science educators across the Middle East region.

AIR is one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world. AIR’s International Development Program specializes in evaluation and research activities as well as education reform and capacity building projects, funded by major international donors including USAID. AIR’s International Development Program has managed educational strengthening projects in over 25 countries.

AIR is seeking Arabic speakers with experience in training teachers in the latest methodologies in science and math. We are also looking for US education experts that have worked on establishing math and science programs in national and regional schools in Arab countries. Notable qualifications will include:

• Master’s degree of higher in math or science education with 5+ years of relevant work experience to include a combination of classroom teaching, math and science program administration, etc.
• Experience providing pre and in service training to teachers in math and science.
• Experience with implementing interactive curricula and teaching methods into Arab schools.
• Experience in math and science education policy and national standards in the Middle East.
• Experience working in a donor-funded development project is useful but is not a requirement.
• Ability to work in both Arabic and English is preferable, but not required for all positions.
